# Research Points — Loyalty Program Terms

Research Points is the Portal to Wellness customer loyalty program. These terms explain how points are earned, redeemed, and expired.

## Earning points

- You earn **3 Research Points for every $1 spent** .
- Points are calculated on your **order total after any discounts have been applied** . Shipping and tax do not earn points. Points are earned on any qualifying order placed through the [Portal to Wellness catalogue](https://portaltowellness.net/shop/) , including [multi-compound bundles](https://portaltowellness.net/glossary-multi-compound-kit/) .
- Points are credited once your order reaches Processing or Shipped status. Orders that are cancelled or refunded have their points reversed.
- **First order bonus:** 500 bonus points on your first order only.
- **Referrals:** when someone new to Portal to Wellness places their first order through your referral link and it is paid, you each receive a $15 coupon to use on a future order.
- Orders that use a points reward earn points as normal.

## Redeeming points

- **100 points = $1 off** a future order.
- Redeeming points generates a single-use discount code tied to your email address. **That code is valid for 4 months from the day you create it** , and we will email you a reminder before it lapses.
- **A points reward can be used alongside one other discount code.** Your points can cover up to **20% of the order subtotal** .
- **From 6 October 2026 the 20% limit applies to every order** , whether or not another code is used. Until then, a reward used on its own applies in full, and points earned before 1 September 2026 are not capped.
- An affiliate code and a site promotion cannot be combined with each other, and neither can two site promotions. **One discount code per order, plus your points.**
- One points reward may be used per order.
- Until 6 October 2026 you may redeem up to **5,000 points ($50)** on a single order; from that date the 20% limit replaces it. Any remaining balance stays on your account for a future order.
- Points rewards apply to product value only, not to shipping or tax.

## Point expiry

- **Points expire 12 months after they are earned.** Each batch of points expires on its own first anniversary, so earning new points does not extend the life of older ones.
- We will email you **30 days before** any points are due to expire, so you have time to use them.
- Your upcoming expirations are always listed on your rewards page.
- Expired points cannot be reinstated.

## General

- Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Points are tied to the email address on your account.
- Points earned before 24 August 2026 remain valid and keep the value they were earned at. The 12-month expiry applies to them from their original earn date.
- Portal to Wellness may change or end the program at any time. Any change applies to points earned from the date of the change forward.
- We may adjust or remove points obtained through error, abuse, or fraudulent activity.
