Three compounds, three different questions in cognitive research.
Semax, Selank and P21 — each studied for a different aspect of neuroplasticity and stress signalling. Available individually, or together in one order.
What these compounds are studied for.
Semax is a fragment of ACTH studied for effects on BDNF expression and attention in animal models. Selank is derived from tuftsin and studied for anxiolytic activity without the sedation associated with benzodiazepines. P21 is derived from CNTF and studied for whether it crosses the blood-brain barrier and influences BDNF at the transcriptional level. Those are three separate research questions with three separate evidence bases. Grouping them here is a purchasing convenience. It is not a claim that they act together, and no combination of them has been shown to be safe or effective for any use in people.
What’s in this stack.
Synthetic analogue of ACTH(4-7). Studied in animal models for effects on BDNF expression and on dopamine and serotonin turnover in limbic regions.
Heptapeptide analogue of tuftsin. Studied for anxiolytic activity in animal models without the sedation associated with benzodiazepines; also studied for effects on enkephalin metabolism.
CNTF-derived peptide. Studied for whether it crosses the blood-brain barrier and for effects on BDNF at the transcriptional level in research models.
What the published work describes.
Semax — BDNF Pathway Activation
A synthetic analogue of ACTH(4-7), Semax increases BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) expression, enhances dopaminergic and serotonergic turnover in the frontal cortex and limbic system, and supports working memory consolidation in research models.
Selank — Stress-Resilient Cognition
A heptapeptide analogue of tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro). Research reports effects on enkephalin catabolism and GABA-A receptor expression, and anxiolytic activity without sedation in animal models. Whether any of that translates to a person is not established.
P21 — Gene-Level Neuroplasticity
Derived from CNTF (Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor), P21 is designed to cross the blood-brain barrier and upregulate BDNF at the transcription level. Research models show improvements in neurogenesis, dendritic spine density, and cognitive function — including in aging subjects.

Frequently Asked Questions
This page summarises published research on Semax, Selank and P21 — three peptides studied in different areas of neuroscience: neurotrophin signalling (Semax), GABAergic and enkephalinase research (Selank), and CNTF-derived synaptic plasticity (P21). It describes each compound's research; it is not a protocol, and Portal to Wellness does not recommend combining them.
Semax and Selank are approved as medicines in Russia; P21 is not approved anywhere. None is FDA-approved, and the research-grade material Portal to Wellness supplies is not for human use.
