Overview
This vial is a fixed two-compound preparation containing 10mg of CJC-1295 without DAC (Modified GRF 1-29, a GHRH analogue) and 10mg of ipamorelin (a selective GHSR-1a agonist), for 20mg of total peptide per vial. The two compounds act at separate receptors — the GHRH receptor and the ghrelin receptor respectively — and the pairing appears in the published endocrine pharmacology literature as a model for studying concurrent stimulation of both pathways.
What It Is
CJC-1295 (No DAC) is a 29-amino acid synthetic analogue of GHRH(1-29) with substitutions at positions 2, 8, 15 and 27 that confer resistance to dipeptidyl peptidase IV. It carries no Drug Affinity Complex, so it does not bind albumin and has a short half-life profile. Molecular weight approximately 3,368 Da.
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH₂), molecular weight approximately 711 Da, characterised in published pharmacology as a selective agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1a without meaningful ACTH, cortisol or prolactin co-stimulation in pituitary cell systems.
Research Spotlight
Published research has used GHRH-receptor agonists and ghrelin-receptor agonists together to examine how the two receptor pathways interact at the pituitary somatotroph. Study designs in the literature include receptor binding and cAMP assays, pituitary cell culture, and GH pulse-kinetics work in rodent and porcine models. Each compound is also available individually in the Portal to Wellness catalogue for designs that require one variable at a time.
Key Research Applications
- Concurrent GHRH receptor and GHSR-1a receptor signalling studies
- Comparative pharmacology of combined versus single-compound preparations
- Pituitary somatotroph cell function research
- GH pulse kinetics characterisation in animal models
- IGF-1 axis downstream marker measurement in animal models
